Advertising & Sponsored Content Policy
Last updated: August 31, 2026 — Doc in the Bot may receive revenue from advertising and sponsorship relationships, including relationships with pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, medical-device, and other companies. Our goal is to maintain a clear separation between commercial relationships and health information.
Editorial independence
Advertisers cannot purchase favorable medical answers.
Payment to Doc in the Bot does not entitle an advertiser to alter, approve, suppress, prioritize, or dictate an AI-generated medical answer.
Identification of advertising
Paid promotional content will be clearly distinguished from ordinary Doc in the Bot content through labels such as “Sponsored,” “Advertisement,” or “Paid Promotion,” as appropriate.
Health data and advertising
We do not sell users’ individual medical questions, diagnoses, symptoms, laboratory results, medications, medical records, or health conversations to advertisers.
We do not provide pharmaceutical advertisers with individual users’ private medical conversations for advertising purposes.
No endorsement
The appearance of an advertisement does not constitute an endorsement, medical recommendation, or representation that the advertised product is appropriate for a particular user.
Users should consult an appropriate healthcare professional before making treatment or medication decisions.
Pharmaceutical advertising
Prescription-drug advertisements may be subject to additional legal and regulatory requirements.
Advertisers are responsible for ensuring their advertising complies with applicable law.
Doc in the Bot reserves the right to reject advertising that we believe is deceptive, unsafe, inappropriate, or inconsistent with our standards.
Separation from answers
Sponsored content should be visually and functionally distinguishable from AI-generated medical information.
A sponsor’s commercial relationship with Doc in the Bot will not, by itself, cause the sponsor’s product to be recommended in an AI-generated answer.
