How Doc in the Bot makes money
We are free for patients and funded by advertising. That only works if advertising can never touch a medical answer — so we built the two as separate systems.
The separation, precisely
- · Medical answers are generated from an allowlisted evidence registry only.
- · Advertisers cannot appear as a source, be cited, or be mentioned inside an answer.
- · No advertiser can pay to change wording, ranking, sources or evidence ratings.
- · Sponsored content appears only after the answer ends, in a visually distinct card labeled "Sponsored".
- · Ads are matched to a broad category such as "Cardiovascular Health" — never to your question text, symptoms, lab values or identity.
What advertisers receive
Aggregate impression and click counts per campaign. Nothing else. No conversation content, no health data, no user-level data, no identifiers, no cross-site tracking pixels inside answers.
Compliance
Prescription drug advertising must include the indication, important safety information and a link to full prescribing information. Every creative passes a compliance review before it can be served, and each card names the manufacturer.
